RELEASE: Auchincloss Invites Rep. Tommy Vitolo As Virtual Guest for the State of the Union Address
Auchincloss and Vitolo will highlight how federal, state, and local governments have been working together to deliver results with the Biden Agenda
Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Jake Auchincloss (D, MA-04) announced that Massachusetts State Representative Tommy Vitolo (D, 15th Norfolk District) will be his virtual guest to President Biden’s State of the Union Address to Congress on Tuesday. Congressman Auchincloss and Representative Vitolo will highlight how federal, state, and local governments have worked together to deliver results with the Biden Agenda. Specifically, they will highlight how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the American Rescue Plan have benefited Massachusetts. Auchincloss and Vitolo will also be previewing President Biden’s speech tomorrow evening, Tuesday March 1st, at 5:30 PM during a Facebook Live on Congressman Auchincloss’ Facebook page.
“From the passage of the American Rescue Plan to turning the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law, President Biden’s agenda is transforming lives in Massachusetts and beyond. Congressman Auchincloss and I worked together to deliver for Brookline and the Bay State, providing relief for essential workers, bringing attention to transportation projects, and supporting job growth in the offshore wind sector,” said Representative Vitolo. “I am proud to attend the State of the Union as his virtual guest, and I look forward to our continued partnership in the coming year.”
The State of the Union Address will highlight the achievements and work still to be done under the leadership of President Biden. While safety protocols mean this year’s capacity for in-person attendance for guests will be limited, Members of Congress were invited to bring virtual guests to highlight the accomplishments of the last year and the work ahead.
