Brookline Rep. Vitolo To Join Auchincloss For State Of The Union
Congressman Jake Auchincloss has invited Brookline Rep. Tommy Vitolo to be his virtual guest to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address to Congress on Tuesday. March 1.
Auchincloss and Vitolo will highlight how federal, state, and local governments have worked together to deliver results with the Biden Agenda. Specifically, they will highlight how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the American Rescue Plan have benefited Massachusetts.
“From the passage of the American Rescue Plan to turning the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law, President Biden’s agenda is transforming lives in Massachusetts and beyond,” said Vitolo in a statement. "Congressman Auchincloss and I worked together to deliver for Brookline and the Bay State, providing relief for essential workers, bringing attention to transportation projects, and supporting job growth in the offshore wind sector."
“I am proud to attend the State of the Union as his virtual guest, and I look forward to our continued partnership in the coming year,” he continued.
Auchincloss and Vitolo will also be previewing Biden’s speech on Tuesday, March 1st at 5:30 p.m. during a Facebook Live on Congressman Auchincloss’ Facebook page.
The State of the Union Address will highlight the achievements and work still to be done under the leadership of Biden. While safety protocols mean this year’s capacity for in-person attendance will be limited, Members of Congress were invited to bring virtual guests to highlight the accomplishments of the last year and the work ahead.
