Statement on President Biden's Joint Address to Congress

Washington, D.C. - Tonight, Congressman Jake Auchincloss (D, MA-04), issued the following statement in response to President Biden's joint address to Congress:

“President Biden has already ushered in transformative change in his first 100 days. Thanks to his leadership, we’ve gotten shots into arms, we’ve returned our kids to school, and Americans are getting back to work. In doing so, he’s also fulfilled his promise of unity: Democrats and Republicans alike that I talk to back home are united around our efforts to end this pandemic and rebuild a more fair and prosperous economy. Now, the real work begins.

“Out of crisis comes opportunity. As we move forward we have a responsibility to build an economy that works for everyone. Tonight, President Biden called us into action to deliver on a once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in job creation, education, and social and physical infrastructure. As always, Massachusetts will lead the way, from education to the life sciences to offshore wind, as we work to create a healthier, greener future for our kids."
