Congressman Jake Auchincloss on House Resolution 719

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jake Auchincloss (MA-04), released the following statement on House Resolution 719: 

"I voted Yes on the resolution for Charlie Kirk. As a father and congressman, I am committed to cross-partisan efforts to renounce political violence and uplift in-real-life debate. Those considerations outweighed my disappointment that the House resolution veered from civics into politics, unlike the unanimous Senate resolution that condemned Kirk's murder and honored his “commitment to the constitutional principles of civil discussion and debate between all people in the United States regardless of political affiliation.”
