After weeks of holdouts and setbacks, President Biden signed his $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill into law Thursday, which passed without a single Republican’s support in either chamber of Congress. The legislation will, among other things, send $1,400 stimulus checks to millions of Americans, increase the child tax credit for 2021 and continue increased unemployment benefits until September. Congressman Jake Auchincloss joined Jim Braude to talk about the Democrats’ first big political success of the Biden Presidency and what is next on the horizon.
