People Incorporated cuts the ribbon on new Fall River Early Education Center
Fall River, MA – People Incorporated celebrated the grand opening of its latest Early Education Center Friday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 145 Weaver Street, marking a major milestone for the agency’s Children’s Services Division.
The event drew a diverse crowd of federal, state, and local leaders, donors, supporters, and community members, all gathered to honor the new facility dedicated to nurturing young learners.
Under a tent outside the center, People Incorporated President & CEO Megan Stirk kicked off the proceedings with welcoming remarks.
Stirk then introduced a lineup of distinguished speakers. The program featured a citation from staff in Senate Ways & Means Chairman Michael Rodrigues’ office; a resolution presented by State Representative Carole Fiola on behalf of Massachusetts State House leadership; remarks from Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan; insights from Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care Commissioner Amy Kershaw; comments by Massachusetts Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Robert Goldstein; words from Director of the Children’s Investment Fund Theresa Jordan; a prepared statement from U.S. Senator Ed Markey’s office; and closing thoughts from U.S. Congressman Jake Auchincloss.
Guests embarked on guided tours, exploring the lobby, classrooms, program areas, and expansive outdoor playgrounds.
Spanning 21,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art center serves up to 212 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. year-round, featuring separate wings for infants/toddlers and preschoolers that frame a vibrant courtyard and playground to encourage seamless indoor-outdoor exploration. Classrooms boast cutting-edge technology alongside timeless educational tools like books and building blocks, while a specialized gross motor room promotes active learning. A professional kitchen equipped with top-tier appliances prepares balanced, thoughtfully curated meals to fuel young minds and bodies.
The facility is the flagship for People Incorporated’s Children’s Services Division.
